  1. I think that the government is playing big brother a little to much now a days. they have access to look at anything that they want to on the internet and even texts and calls can be monitored. this has not yet affected my life because I don't do anything or give them a reason for them to watch me. I do believe that they are overstepping there boundaries, I do not think government spying is as necessary as they make it.

  2. I don't think it really affects my day to day life, but I can see the point behind it. Every major country in the world spies on someone, we just happened to get caught. If the NSA wants to listen to my phone calls, read my emails, and watch me play PlayStation they can. All they are going to learn though is that my friends and I talk about the stupidest most meaningless things on the planet, I buy a lot of things online, and that I am really bad at Call of Duty.

The government isn't really overstepping because they actually have been doing this since the 9/11 attacks, and it was actually the people that gave the government this power. Everyone is just making a huge deal out of it right now because they aren't afraid and paranoid anymore because they feel like the war is over and that we won. The fact is there is a valid reason to spy within your own country or even another country and sometimes without due cause.

I don't see Edward Snowden as patriot like some do, mostly because of the fact that he fled the country and sought exile in Russia. His leaks have now hurt this countries efforts to protect our borders for years and frankly he should be punished for it. Not to mention the widespread panic it started as well as the anti-government feelings, in my eyes almost making him a terrorist himself. Others don't share my views though.

Spying doesn't bother me if the government wants to keep doing it, I have nothing to hide. There is also amendments to the Constitution that keep them from seriously invading your privacy. So if a person at the NSA wants to sit and watch me get killed over and over by someone in Call of Duty who is half my age, they can pull up a chair because it's going to be a long night.

  3. Having privacy is a great thing, everyone needs some alone time or a friend to talk to in secret to get their feeling out. My thoughts on government spying are negative. I don't have much prior knowledge to this and from what i learned from the articles it does more harm than good. Although i do like the fact that the government does have a way, ineffective maybe, but they do have something to help stop terrorist or threats to our country. Is it something that is worth exposing, people privacy over? Probably not. Since this spying does not effect my day to day life, I don't care much for it or against it. I think in some cases they are overstepping their boundaries, but in others they are doing their jobs. id say it just mostly depends on who is really doing their job correctly.

  4. I guess I wasn't aware that government spying on the internet was such a big deal right now. It isn't something that effects my life because I had no idea it was occurring. I think if the spying of the government that they claim to be occurring is as bad as they say than yes I believe they are overstepping and not simply just doing their jobs. American citizens have the right to privacy so I don't think we should be spyed on if we are just innocent internet users. On the other hand I think it's the government's job to use spying on the internet to catch criminals.

  5. I'm not sure if what the government is doing would be called spying. I don't think there watching over the internet to plot to effective people negatively, then again you never know. Right now , it has not affected my day to day but I could why other people would have problems with what's going on. I don't really think they are overstepping there boundaries because , the government could find out anything they want if they really want to

  6. In todays society who isn't spying? But the Government is being over bearing and trying tryin to play big brother. Personally i think the government should not be spying on someone who has no priors have never done anything "bad". Were Americans were supposed to be the land of the free, but how is being free if were spied on? Yes, if you use technology you are at a great chance of being invaded by the government. They can get into and watch all sorts of websites and ip addresses, you cell phone, your landline phone, everything technology related. Sure they may be lookin out for more threats but i think there should be a limit and they should tone it down.

    1. I think there should be a limit too. However, i don't feel like if we're not doing anything wrong that they won't bother even listening or checking up on us.

  7. I'm not too sure if this is considered spying. This "issue" hasn't affected my life at all other than hearing people talk about the subject. I feel that if the government was that concerned and wanted to know anything they should be able to know. However they should at least be up front about it because they play a big game of charades and that's the problem I have with the government.

  8. Government spying doesn't really affect my every day life. I am not hiding anything so I don't feel I am affected by this at all. I think the government is doing their job. They are doing this to ensure the safety of US citizens. The most recent case related to this was the Snowden case. He leaked information to other countries which is just unacceptable. The government spying does not affect me, it wouldn't bother me if they continued to improve in the field.

  9. I don't think this issue is anything new. The government has always had access to these things but now its just more aware to people that its happening. I don't feel like it affects my every day life, however if i was a drug lord or something i could see how that would come in affect lol. But then again, people don't really realize that no matter what it is, if you post it on the internet it will always be able to be seen somehow, someway, by someone.
